I LIKE BEATS THAT KNOCK!

Yo! So here is the update of that beat battle. Thanks to DJ Rayz for handling the camera.




Once the spot filled up we got right to the battle. 8 cats competing for a cash prize. After the prelims we took a break to let the DJ (Phillip Drummond) do this thing.

The finals came down to the homie Chexmex and Dibia$e from Watts who was in the bay for the holidays.



After going into a bonus round Dibia$e pulled off the W. Both cats had RIDICULOUS beats though.

Off to the far east!

I recently took a little trip out to Singapore and Hong Kong with the fam. Definitely some dope places to visit. Took a few pics along the way so check them out. Still gotta step up my camera so be patient for the time being.


16 hour flights are shitty. On demand style movies and music aren't. Thanks Singapore Airlines!



I always thought that the bay was pretty cold during the winter, then I realized it could be worse. I could be stuck out in Siberia...



Definitely some national geographic type shit.

Anyways, after a stop in South Korea we finally reached Singapore. I had no idea the Muslim population was so large out there. I found this sticker on the ceiling of our hotel room pretty funny...


We hit up the Mustafa Centre which is Singapore's only 24 hour shopping mall. That shit is like wal-mart on steroids, yo. Took a few "where's waldo" style pics with my little brother. Try and find him in each of these three...

The next day we went over to the Gerbil's crib to politic and bullshit. Enjoyed some biryani. Thanks much for the hospitality.





We took Gabriella's advice and went to the Canele Patisserie for some grub. Shit was on point!






Last night is Singapore we checked out the East Coast Seafood Center. Although I'm usually not a fan of the crabs, I made an exception this time. It was dy-no-mite!!





Singapore had some dope pieces. No matter where you are in the world, graffiti is a universal language.






I only got to spend one day in Hong Kong so I barely took any pictures. Plus my camera is pretty shitty so the night pictures are all kinds of fucked up.





That concludes the trip. I gotta head back to Hong Kong in future. On the flight home we got stuck next to a crying baby for 11 hours. I wanted to punt that thing.

I'm hittin' up a beat battle in SF tonight at the Element Lounge. I'll post about that tomorrow.
